Kent County League Bill Manklow Inter-Regional Challenge Cup Final

It was a quick start from Metrogas in the opening stages of this cup final. They opened the scoring with only four minutes on the clock. The ball was played down the right hand side and crossed into the box by the No.10. The initial header from the No.5 was saved spectacularly by the goalkeeper but only parried out as far as the No.11. He created some space for himself and curled in a beautiful strike into the far side of the net. 

Six minutes later, a corner ball for Metrogas was swung in and landed right in front of the goal mouth. The No.9 used his strength to give himself some space and flicked the ball into the back of the net with his heel. 

Ten minutes later, New Romney had a free kick on the half way line which was delivered into the box by the No.6. The ball wasn't dealt with properly and fell to the No.5 who neatly volleyed the ball into the net. 

With ten minutes until half time, Metrogas broke forward after winning the ball high up the pitch. The ball was headed forward and played through to the No.9. His initial effort was saved at close range by the goalkeeper but deflected straight back to the attackers feet. He went around the goalkeeper and played the ball across the face of goal, straight into the path of the No.11 who had a simple tap in. 


The second half was very end to end but neither side could finish the chances that they created. 

Right at the death, New Romney pulled a goal back after an almighty scramble in the box. The ball fell out to the No.10 who smashed the ball into the net. 

It was too little to late unfortunately for New Romney as the final whistle blew a few minutes later. The final score finished 3-2 to Metrogas who got their hands on the trophy.

A free kick was swung into the box from the edge of the area and met by the head of the No.4 and captain, who saw his effort loop over the keeper and into the net.  The rest of the action in the first half was rather scrappy in fairness, which resulted in not a lot of chances for either side being created.  Three minutes after the break, it was the captain again who doubled Rushdens lead. Tooting Bec Vs Clapton CFC  📍 High Road  Tickets: £6 A difficult ground to get to in all honesty but it worked out well in the end. I didn't expect to be offered a lift on route but took the opportunity, big thanks to the Tooting fan who saved me a fair walk!  The game itself was quite an end to end affair, with both sides creating a few half chances each. The opening goal of the game came just before the half time break. A corner was swung into the box from Tooting and then nodded back across the goal. The loose ball was then stabbed in by the No.7 to give the home side the lead.  The pattern of the game continued in the second half, with it becoming a lot more scrappier and stop start. With the game approaching the final whistle, Tooting added a second goal to seal the win. Another corner was swung into the box but this time cleared. AFC Royal Holloway Vs Richmond & Kew FC 📍 Royal Holloway College Sports Centre  Tickets: Free Entry  Another eventful game in the Surrey Premier League which saw the away side dominate the match.  The first goal of the game went in just after thirty five minutes had been played. A corner ball found itself eventually working it's way out to Richmonds No.31 on the edge of the box. He then set himself and let off a brilliant strike into the top right hand corner of the net.  A couple of minutes before the break, the away side managed to double their lead. A lovely through ball from the No.7 split the defence and allowed the No.7 to run through clear on goal. He kept his composure and slotted the ball into the corner of the net.  In the second half, with half an hour left to play, Richmond added a third in style to kill off any hopes of a comeback from Holloway.
